bored? wat a day

Since i was at hm most of time, tend to snack alot. so i decide to make some snack with the available ingredients.

Crunchy Snack Treats
Makes 2 dozen
4 tablespoons butter
1 bag mini marshmallows
8 ounces semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
6 cups rice cereal
3/4 cup peanut-butter chips

In a deep saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons butter over low heat abt 4 mins. Add e mini marshmallows; cook, stirring til melted, 6 - 8 mins. Add in chocolate; cook until melted, 2 - 4 mins. Remove from heat. Quickly fold in 6 cups rice cereal n 3/4 cup peanut-butter chips until evenly distributed.
Coat a 1/4-cup dry measuring cup with nonstick cooking spray; scoop mixture onto waxed paper, forming clusters. Let set, about 10 minutes. Store in an airtight container for up to several days

Since it is our first time in States, my hubby decided for us to enjoy their own traditional rodeo "cowboys" show. So after our dinner, we set off at 7pm. Thinking it was just a countryside event, I tot nt much ppl will attend, turned out i was wrong. in fact, we could hardly find a parking slot for us. I saw ppl bring their own lounge chairs n mats(you can even have yr own picnics if u want as long as u r nt blocking others views). It was interesting n we saw some female riders n stunts they put up. Both of us enjoyed the little treats put up in this country fair. we went off at 10pm after 3hrs of watching, it was sort of stale with rounds n rounds of competitions. we r nt the onli ones, most ppl left early too n the temp is getting colder as the night drawing near. btw, here summer night set in at 10pm onwards.. quite late compared sg.

Clean a fish

First, wash the fish using fresh tap water.
Step 2 Remove scales by scraping the fish with the dull edge of a knife. Hold fish tail firmly with one hand with other hand hold knife. Use short strokes from tail to head, scaping knife along fish to get all the scales to come off , turn fish repeat on other side. The sides of the fish up to the gill area are fairly easy to scale but care should be taken to remove all the small fish scales from the underbelly, head area and close to the fins and gills. If you plan to skin the fish before cooking, this step is not necessary.
Step 3 Make a cut from the gills to the vent.
Step 4 Remove the entrails with your finger. Pay particular attention to the area near the backbone and remove any blood with a small spoon if necessary. Check the cavity carefully to make sure everything's been removed. Rinse the cavity well.
Step 5 If cooking the fish whole, remove the dorsal fin by cutting along each side of it and carefully pulling the fin out.

deco for my home

this is my handcraft flowers which i put it on my front door window; made from crepe papers(which I bought from walmart abt usd2; can do alot of flowers; these are onli afew) n tin from campbell soup.. hehhahahah I like to do handicrafts too.... one of my fav old pastimes(that is when i was young n w alot of time).
I was an art & crafts student during my schdays. Drawing still things, paintings are what i learnt but i like crafting most. I used to knit alot especially during my free times, or when i stress/ dwn.. hehhshehhaha too much time. my mom even joked w me that i shld take up my knitting again since it is much mre useful here for winter especially.. I like cross stitch too, find that is interesting n much easier than sewing.(but u need to keep track yr progress; pretty much like jigsaw for me). one thing i dun reali like abt this is framing up, it is ex n bulky n i dun think i got alot of walls for hanging. I found out ppl here lve to do scrapbooks(they r much mre cheaper here than sg).. there r alot of fancy materials n packages n even classes to learn... too bad this is a onli craft work i dun reali interest /fancy.. duno know why..

back to my deco for hm, my hubby n i picked some fancy pieces(as we dun reali have our own place yet in sg) to brighten our hm stay over here, making it feel mre cosier for our upcoming hsewarming party. . i prefer vases n flowers(nt real ones) as deco pieces than candles... i like this vase n flower(my fav), beside it is the digital photo frame my hubby bought.

Tinted Moisturizers for face

I like tinted moisturizer. If you have good skin or u wan a sheer coverage of foundation, tinted moisturizer is a hybrid of a moisturizer and foundation, finished off w dewy /satin-like look. It's the natural look n at the same time even out the skin tone. I even prefer a tinted pimple gel which let me to apply it outside as a concealer.
In U.S., i find out CoverGirl Smoothers n Almay Smart Shade Makeup, value for money. Almay's is marked as a foundation, but to sheer for me. It has light refracting properties, so it helps to brighten and illuminates the skin. The formula is a pale gray white color, and has tiny little black specks in them. Both have SPF 15.

As I surf my fav blogs, I come across this quote
"Too many people spend money they haven't earned, to buy things they don't want, to impress people they don't like." ~ Will Smith
pretty interesting n meaningful. ;)

There is an old series called Bones, The Pretender, Lie to me, Fringe, Dresden files, Forever knight.n the list goes on...alot of them doesnt appear in sg. my baking accessories

These are my tools for baking, I persuaded my hubby to buy them for me. since I reached here, I had decided to try my hands in baking making use of my time n the oven I had in my hm. I lve baking(my interest) then cooking, cos less fussing( i think) n less messy... hehhahha.
So I got my mixer (recommended by the users online) n a basic set of baking ware(p.s. i find that buying individuals is troublesome n maybe costly). Getting them from amazon.com is easy n convenient (trusty? for my part), next thing I do is to bake brownies, cakes, muffins, cookies, cupcakes... n so on... i even bake my chicken wings too. I find that baking here is easy cos there got all sort of ready mix packets (although i dun fancy abt their icings; too sweet n thick)

I bring most of my wardrobe here cos since im nt in sg, may as well as bring them over. If i buy any new ones, i can throw the old ones away.. if nt i will be bursting my alreadi full wardrobe in sg.. Nt enough hangers thus need to buy mre but here abit ex although quality is gd. I decide to use my 2 extra rooms; one as laundry room, one for storeroom. Most electrical appliances i buy from here cos of diff voltages n i didnt buy any transformers. My hse still look pretty bare... maybe will look around for any decorative pieces.
Weather turning better (i mean temp) as its turning summer. I hope will be like sg. But nw seem to have mre alot of moths; heard they r migrating.. YUCKS!!!! I myself dun know been killing countless of them. They r dusty n quite big compare to sg, like a freaky show coming out of movie.
Recently, one of my program is housevisiting... cos is bore here. Been to one for child bday n soon the next one for dinner gathering. My hubby wan to open our hse for the next coming gathering since we nw have our foodstuffs.

We went to a old village called Idaho city during our exploration trip... soso old buildings more like in a history class.. guess nt my fancy.
Rite now, my freetime i usually do my mask n on regular basis... i find that there is alot of white heads... scary. pity me i wan facials!!!
