day 2

Universal Studios Hollywood
We went in there early in morn 10am when opened, alreadi there is alots of crowds(its weekday, so i knowledge there are tourists like us).
The attractions at Universal Studios Hollywood are split into two areas(Upper Lot n Lower Lot) on different levels, connected by a series of escalators called the Starway. Note; go to the lower lot first cos it close at 530pm n queue for rides can be long. There is also an Universal Citywalk plaza, a shopping area.

The Schedule of day, means i can catch my fav Desperate Housewives n the oncoming movie Couples Retreat.

the streets are empty now cos the stores haven't started open yet.

Simpson's, i like the wife than that hubby of her. the store is unique.. there got collectible drink containers which can be refillable.

Starway
a fake city being rebuilt.

this is where i buy most of my goodies.
catch 4D shrek show; 4D is a 3D movie w effects like chair movements, wind blowing n water splashing on yr face etc. i hate it when the water is combined w sneezing sound effect, yucks.

Beautiful, realistic backdrop scene for Hollywood sign.

we also went to see the special effects, fire n sound effect behind the scene; entertaining. At here, 2 rides cant be missed; mummy's n a 45min tour ride. i forgone the mummy's cos i cant take a roller coaster. The tour ride is pretty informative, as they take us to the backstage, scenes that r shoot in the movies etc.

flood effect.

stage scene for mummy n gladiators.

snow effect scene from Grinch starring Jim Carrey
airplane crash in scene 'wars btw the 2 world' starring Tom Cruise.
the psycho motel killer come out w a body of woman; creepy!!!

further down, there is warner bros studio Burbank,CA. just a few blocks southeast of NBC Studios and Disney Studios, northeast of Universal Studios.

Hollywood Sign

Hollywood Blvd & Highland
After that, we went to Hollywood Bowl; famous modern amphitheatre.

Walk of Fame

Kodak theater, a live theatre ( home of Academy Awards)

Grauman's Chinese Theatre, a movie theater (w stars' hand & foot prints on the ground).
There is an insightful 1hr n 15mins guide tour that will personally escort you directly to Hollywood's most famous landmarks n much more. Along the way, each visitor wears a 'walkman-like' headset receiver while your guide wears a headset microphone; offer narration on the history of Hollywood and movie making plus the stars that helped shape Hollywood, not a pre-recorded tour. Your guide will offer you hints on places where u would mostly likely spot a movie star in Hollywood. www.seeing-stars.com

we went to this famous Madame Tussauds; where we come face to face n closeup w 'famous' ppl. Its worthwhile, everyone is so realistic(i realise these ppl in fact nt veri tall as i expect; hehhahahah) n its a 4storey building

Later, we went to Melrose district(hippy place); shopping. Griffith Observatory(for star grazing), explore Koreatown(often abbreviated K-town) n Thaitown, Sunset Strip; a short stretch of niteclubs.
