Tips to save $$

Man! i reali need to save money after buying a flat recently, totally wipe all my saving. SQ 1 again, hard leh, but reali reali need to tighten my belt.

Magazines always say "Save 10% - 20% of your take-home salary every month" it is a ideal range for saving .. if you have excess on certain months .. just deposit the excess into your savings. If there's no family commitment, I guess you can even increase it to 30%.

Separate savings and spending a/c - easier to prevent overspending. 2 days after payday, immediately Giro off a fixed sum into yr savings bank. Make it "ma fan" for you to withdraw money fm yr savings a/c by: Dun apply atm card on yr savings a/c. (gd one!)

Cut off your credit cards. This is the number one problem to zero savings. (I minimize to 2 credit cards; mastern visa. Try to use cash most of the time so it will be easier to manage my outgoing cash activites.)

Once you get a paycheck, put a certain amount of money that you think you NEED to survive the month. (Still trying veri hard for tat)

If you know that your meal/snack/teabreak is going to cost more than $8, stop. Find a cheaper alternative to eat (taking note).

No taking of cabs! (discipline myself to leave early, so i able to make my destination on time)

You are allowed to buy only ONE item that costs more than $50 each month as a way to pamper yourself, and it CANNOT be the same type of item that you have already bought in the last 6 months. Meaning, if you have already bought a bag in the last 6 months, you are not allowed to buy yet another bag within 6 months. (tat reali hard!)

Review: SkinMD Natural Shielding Lotion

SkinMD Natural Shielding Lotion - Concept of a shielding lotion :"It binds to the skin such that the environment is not allowed to penetrate and desiccate the skin, essentially forming an invisible shield around and throughout the skin just like an invisible glove would!"

Retail Price: $18.00 USD
Availability: SkinMD Official Website

Pros:Light-weight,Non-greasy formula,Absorbs quickly,Hypoallergenic and paraben free
Great for oily skin.
Cons:Would have been better with a pump bottle.
Claims to be fragrance free but there is a slight scent

This is a very natural lotion for the skin, and before trying it I was very afraid it would be greasy or heavy. Upon trying this, I was surprised by how light it was. The texture is almost like an emulsion or an essence. Therefore, it doesn't even feel like I'm putting moisturizer on. Even though it's very light, it still provides adequate moisture for the skin, which really helps with reducing the production of oils on my face throughout the day. There was a day I forgot to apply this on, and I realized my face was much oilier than usual.
I also love how the texture of my skin feels after this. Now, I don't have smooth skin at all on my face, but with this I can feel a much better texture than if I hadn't put this on. This lotion can be used for the Face, Hands, and Body. I've tried it on my hands before, and I also love what it does as a hand lotion.

Overall, this is a great natural moisturizer.
why not give this a try?

Make it even better by BK

As the title had spoken, it definately took the idea from Mac. It is a BK offer (one day onli from 11am onward). This time round im nt goin to join, cos sg ppl r too kasu. so wat is just a dollar (w no oblication of buying a meal) but with a super long queue, its just a waste of my lunch time. i guess im nt a 'hardcore' kasu plus it nt a new burger. It had been out for some time, i rather take their double fish filet meal for sgd4.50 but the taste is poor compared to Mac's.

half day frm work, have a wonderful meal n time mood :)

Today, i specially took ahalf day off frm work to relax.
had facial n do some shopping, late fulfilling lunch n ran some errands which i had been putting it off/ shelved for sometime.

I loves pasta specially soaking in milk sauce. :) yummy. although i know it kind of stuffy n fatty but i just dun like it in tomato sauce
This Italian spatt resturant is one of my fav. http://www.spageddies.com.sg/

if u r feeling rich n wan a taste of pasta w abit or orient style, try this Tokyo's pasta specialist Youmenya Goemon @ Marina Bay Link Mall. http://www.soshiok.com/multimedia/photos/530 It offers an impressive 32 varieties, cooked with ingredients ranging from alfalfa sprouts to shabu shabu pork. U may need to queue n wait for your spatt to cook to perfection, but definitely worth it!!!

if nt, u can try this western food; Aston. quite cheap but long queue.
for me, i tend to fav western n jap food mre than other asian food.

Mac new burger nice

Here comes the new burger, cool.
Ver nice, jap fav, nice grilled; me fav part of chicken; thight w fresh veggies n sourdough bread. onli it is abit fatty w the skin on.
Mac is having a promo for this new burger from Mar01 - Mar07 (1-for-1 ala carte). in order to avoid 'Kasu' queue, i went for a mid-wk tasting w my colleagues. Although is crowded but lucky manageable. It is so tasty, that im thinking to bring my hubby along for wkend meal. hehahahah.
although is a promo but nt reali cheap if u add a drink n fries. (sgd 5.50 for 1-for-1 burger + med drink + med fries = SGD 10+)
I may nt go for it after this promo ends, is not i cheapskate but i think this burger meal cost SGD8, abt ex... wow...fast food resturant getting ex.
Those kids who can study at Mac; must be rich(or parents.) maybe next time they may turn their study area to hawker centre? hehahahah

Galvanic Spa - my dream...

The Nu Skin Galvanic Spa help current stimulates cell rejuvenation in your face, body and scalp, the gels help eliminate toxins and impurities from your skin and minimize your pores and allow them to breathe. It can be used on body help reduce cellulite and on face as regular anti-aging skin care regimen. The best part is, you don't have to use it periodically . quoted by someone "Four months ago my Mom was using it for 3 times a week but now she is using it only for 3 times a month and results are still better."
Galvanic Spa got a newer verison and new ageLOC treatment gels.
It seemed to be very ex to spend about a month for treatment gels, but you can go to a day spa to get the same results, or buy a small, hand-held device and do it yourself for a fraction of the price.

Before the actual process, remember to wash your face and dry it. Also, let your hands be moist. Next comes the Pre-treatment step. Apply the gel and use your face conductor on it. During this step, the spa instrument and the the pre-treatment gel are negatively charged. The negative charges repel each other and drive the pre-treatment gel into the skin.
Next comes the treatment step. Apply the treatment gel and follow the same process. This time, the galvanic spa instrument and the treatment gel are positively charged. Again, they repel each other and drive the gel into the skin.
Wash your face when the gel dries, and look into the mirror…instant younger, healthy looking skin!

Check with your physician before using the Galvanic Spa instrument or receiving a Galvanic Spa treatment if you are pregnant, have a pacemaker or similar device, are epileptic, wear metal braces on your teeth, or have a metal implant. The Galvanic Spa instrument should not be used over an area with many broken capillaries or over an inflamed or open wound. Use product only for its intended use as described in the Galvanic Spa System Owner's Manual.

Whitening.. ... in soap form??

im stunned.. .. abit questioning abt the abilities of whitening soap.
cant believe there is reali a thing for whitening in soap form.. so long didnt use soap le.. nwasday ppl use showerfoam to bath. but i do know but dhc cleansing soap still prefer the oil solution in bottle, much convenice to use n keep.

Nw there is two famous brand of whitening soaps; Kojic Acid Soap, Likas Papaya Soap.
from what i unearthed, both can be used on body n face but can be drying somtime. So preparedyr moisture n lather. N alway rem to use sunscreen on face n neck (i alway believe if pdts with whitening properties make skin mre senstitive to sun)

Likas Papaya Soap is an organic and herbal soap that promises to lighten the color of the skin. It is a local product from the Philippines, and is the first one to hit the market using papaya as the main whitening ingredient.
